Volunteer Opportunities
As museum volunteer you will greet our guests and give them a tour of the building. So if you like to meet people and tell them about the area's past, contact us.Before you start, you will have to visit a training session. Everybody age 16 and up can volunteer but you must be able to walk some stairs (this is an historic home). Usually, our volunteers come in on the weekends for three hours but you can also volunteer during the week.

Why did Virginia Tech in its first football game ever play a team from Radford? Why is Radford home to two Virginia governors? And where did they find an almost complete Indian village from the 1600s? If you have an interest in the area's history and like to know why things are today how they are, become a museum volunteer at Glencoe Museum. You will make new discoveries every time you come - and tell our visitors about them.
