10 Ways How You Can Help Us

Glencoe Museum depends on the dedicated work and support of many volunteers. Without the help and contributions of many community members, this showcase of Radford’s rich heritage would not be possible. Here are ten ways how you can help.

1. Visit the museum!

We are always delighted to meet new visitors. Chances are you might get interested.

2. Become a volunteer!

The museum is open for 27 hours a week and we are always looking for docents. You can also help us at special events, in the office, or with many other tasks. If you want to serve your community, this is the right place.

3. Donate!

Donations by our members are an important part of keeping the museum up and running. Your contribution will ensure that Glencoe will continue to prosper.

4. Give artifacts!

Got some old photographs, Victorian-era furniture or other Radford memorabilia? Your donation to the museum will help us in our mission to preserve Radford’s heritage and make it accessible to the wider public.

5. Join the Board of the Radford Heritage Foundation!

Take part in the decision-making and share your vision and knowledge to preserve Radford’s heritage.

6. Get the message out!

You know somebody who might be interested in our work or one of our events? Let them know.

7. Buy a gift!

Our gift store offers various books and other merchandise for children and adults alike. Buy one and support us.

8. Bring a group!

Share Glencoe with others and bring your family, friends, church group, scout group, class and so on.

9. Share your knowledge!

Local historic research depends on the knowledge of community members. Help us in tracing our history and share your memories with us.

10. Visit our events!

Glencoe Museum hosts several special events a year. Come by and be part of one.
