Where Memories Come Alive

History

Radford's "Cold Case"

Every Sunday night, the members of the Philadelphia homicide squad on CBS’s hit show “Cold Case” solve long-forgotten murder mysteries. Usually, the show starts out with the announcement of “new evidence has come to light” and proceeds to solve the case in one hour (including commercials). As it turns out, Radford has it's own cold case - but no new evidence.

Billie Jean Turpin

In April 1952, the body of Billie Jean Turpin was found along the river. An article in the Master Detective Magazine (No. 6, 1957) published as the “Mystery of the Month” describes all the mysterious details of the murder and the long search for the perpetrator. The story is based on the findings of private investigators Raye O. Lawson and S.D. Greene.Read the whole story here (.pdf)
