| Sanborn Maps of Virginia in digital form. These maps were originally created for assessing fire insurance liability in urban areas of the United States. The maps are available from cities and towns in Virginia from 1885 through 1970. Information from the maps includes streets, buildings and utility structures. The digital maps can be downloaded and printed at your convenience. |

| The Library of Virginia has purchased the Tumblebooks Library for use by Virginia’s public libraries. The TumbleBookLibrary is a collection of TumbleBooks, animated, talking picture books, suited for elementary school children. TumbleBooks are created from existing picture books, adding sound, animation, music and narration to create an electronic picture book. |
