Altered Books

craft-supplies Turn an ordinary book into something extraordinary at the Radford Public Library. Old library books will be turned into art under guidance of art teacher Whitney Whitacre. On a side note, the library regularly lets old, worn-out, outdated and un-popular books go in order to make room for new books. Usually the books are sold at the Lamplighter’s quarterly book sale which raises money, in part, to pay for the summer reading program, but for the Altered Books program they will be given a new life as art. Check out examples of altered books at this website: [CLICK HERE] This program is for kid age 9 and up and teens.
