Radford Parks & Recreation Department will offer Pickleball every Monday morning in the gym at 9:30 a.m.
Pickleball was invented in 1965 by three dads whose kids were bored with their usual summertime activities on Bainbridge Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle, WA. Today, Pickleball is played by approximately 2.46 million kids, teenagers and seniors alike.
It is a fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net; and is played with a paddle and a plastic ball.
If you are interested in playing or learning please stop by on Mondays 9:30 a.m.—12:00 noon.
